Action Group Members
Development of this project is by a Citizens Action Group of the Carson City Cultural Commission. The Action Group serves as an advisory council to The Greenhouse Project, a nonprofit Nevada corporation. The President of this corporation serves as the Project Manager. The Greenhouse will be staffed by a full-time Greenhouse Manager and a part-time Assistant Manager. Both positions will be paid.
Volunteers, students enrolled in education/vocational programs, and youth involved in after-school programs will provide additional labor for the greenhouse and gardens. Students pre-qualified as LMI (low to middle income) will be eligible for 20 paid, work study positions. Pre-qualified students are those qualifying for the free/reduced lunch program.
